Rusty Lake Roots is a point-and-click adventure game developed by the Dutch indie game studio, Rusty Lake. The game is the fourth installment in the Rusty Lake series and serves as a prequel to the first game, Rusty Lake: Lake. It was first released on January 27, 2016, for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux platforms, and later for mobile devices.

Set in the 1930s, Rusty Lake Roots follows the story of the Vanderboom family, specifically the patriarch, David Vanderboom, who receives a letter from his estranged brother, George. Rusty Lake Roots Checkmate

1. Looks like Frank has been in this well all these years. We fed him a potato in The Brood chapter. Pick up the sharp rock near the teddy bear. Also, rip off the bear’s head and take the wire.

2. Look at the words on the wall. Then, tap on the metal bars. A hand will slip through with some berries. Stab the hand with the sharp rock and take the berries.

3. Feed the berries to Frank, then take the twig from him.

4. Look through the bars again. Albert appears, but he laughs and leaves if you tap on him.

5. Tap the paper airplane until it flies up out of the well. Someone will drop a bucket down. Place the wire and twig next to the bucket. Now use the symbols on the wall to figure out how to ask for things. First, ask for food. They’ll send down a fish. Take the fish.

6. Next, ask for water. They send down a cup with liquid. Give it to Frank and he’ll drink it. Give the fish to Frank and he’ll eat it. Take the bones from him.

7. Last, use the fish bones to ask for a wooden stick. Give it to Frank and he’ll use it to help him climb into the bucket. Tap on him to complete the chapter.
