Finishing the Japanese Room
Just like with all previous pages, we'll begin with this one by opening the Strange Artifact we got after solving the last room (the Garden). This time, it'll unveal a Mechanical Cicada, which we'll obviously pick up.
Then, view the Mechanical Cicada up close and drag all of its wings out, until it looks like this:
Just drag on its wings until they're fully open.
Now, as the title foreshadows, let's go to the Japanese Room - we've now got what we need to finish this room. Once there, focus your attention onto the table with two dragons: this will be the first and last time we interact with it.
Place the now open Mechanical Cicada in the very spot with a very clear cicada shape. It'll then move closer to the centre, bringing up two mysterious panels.
If you equip your Eyepiece then look through these panels, you'll note that you'll now be able to move these dragon's necks - the left panel for the left dragon and the right one for the right dragon. Now place the left dragon's head in a way that it's mouth over the box's handle, as you can see in the following pictures.
Then, return to normal view and close the dragon's mouth once there, and return to the Eyepiece view from the panel. Then, pull the dragon's head up, and it'll break the chains that were holding the box down.
Have the left dragon drag onto the box then pull up using your Eyepiece from the panel.
Now return to normal view, and use the dial on the lower floor of this box to rotate it, so that the right dragon might grab it. So do that, then have it pull back to open a secret drawer. It'll contain a Miniature Pagoda Roof, which we'll pick up.
Then spin the lower half of the box, have the other (right) dragon drag onto the cabinet's handle and pull it out.
Now let's momentarily return to the top of the miniature pagoda, and add the Miniature Pagoda Roof to it. This is done by moving the dial to the centre, then dragging the roof to the Unfinished Wooden Structure. Then, release this item and pick it up by having the dial return to its initial position.
Use the clear dial and place it on the second spot. Then drag the Miniature Pagoda Roof into the Unfinished Wooden Structure in order to attach it.
Go back to the table with two dragons and place the Unfinished Wooden Structure on the clear hole by the box. This will cause the table to rotate, and the magical panels to come together. You'll now also control both dragons in unison from there, too.
Get one dragon to clasp onto one of the new box's sides, then do the same with the other. After that, have them both pull up, and the tower will be raised. Then immediately bring it down a bit, in such a way that its arch lines up with the one of the Unfinished Wooden Structure behind. Like this:
We'll now have both dragons pull the box up - one isn't enough. Grab one first, then the other.
Then, go to the left side of the front box and use the cog that's there to draw a bridge towards the Unfinished Wooden Structure, connecting both locations. Finally, get inside of the Unfinished Wooden Structure using your Eyepiece, walk to the end of the bridge, and after releasing it using the dials that are on the table, pick up the Miniature Pagoda Roof and Spire.
You'll be taken out of this place. Now pick up the Unfinished Wooden Structure and go to the top of the miniature pagoda. Place the structure there and use the dial to complete it - move it all the way right, then install the Miniature Pagoda Roof and Spire.
Attach the final piece of the Unfinished Wooden Structure by placing the dial on the right spot.
It'll suddenly grow upwards, unlocking this room's final puzzle. On this puzzle, you'll have to connect all the lamps and wooden pieces so that every piece is lit up, which will also activate some windmills to the sides. It's a bit complex, but as usual, we've got you covered with a nice animation demonstrating how to solve it (just please mind that the first set is actually us just testing the waters, but we couldn't exclude it from there because you'd otherwise not know our starting point
Solving this puzzle will lift the trap that wasn't letting us pick up this room's Strange Artifact, but we can now. Do so, and as usual, you'll be thrown out of the room.
