The SAVE ABDUL RAHIM App is an innovative application dedicated to providing assistance to Abdul Rahim, an individual in need. Our application serves as a comprehensive platform, ensuring transparency in our efforts to help Abdul Rahim and providing users with easy access to all relevant details.

Abdul Rahim, a former auto driver from Feroke in Kozhikode, ventured to Saudi Arabia in 2006 in search of better opportunities. He found employment as a house-driver in Riyadh, where part of his responsibilities involved caring for a differently-abled 15-year-old boy within the household.

Tragically, an incident occurred one day while Rahim was driving with the boy. At a traffic signal, the boy urged Rahim to proceed, ignoring the red light. When Rahim refused, the situation escalated as the boy began to spit and assault him. During the altercation, Rahim inadvertently touched a medical device attached to the boy's shoulder, causing it to fall inside the car. Regrettably, the boy went unconscious and passed away.

In 2018, Rahim was sentenced to death under Saudi law for murder, after the boy’s family declined to grant amnesty. Despite appeals, the verdict was upheld by the appeal court in 2022, a decision later affirmed by the country's Supreme Court.

Currently, Rahim's execution has been temporarily halted by the court, following an agreement with the deceased boy's family to accept diya (blood money) instead. The agreed amount is 15 million Saudi riyals, approximately Rs 33.24 crore. People from different parts of the world are raising funds to save him. However, only 13 crores have been collected (equivalent to 1300000 pounds), while 21 crores (equivalent to 2100000 pounds) are still needed. With only 5 days left, the urgency to raise the remaining amount is critical.

That's why I started this fundraiser — to save his life to the best of my ability. Every contribution brings us closer to securing his freedom and giving him a chance to rebuild his life. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to Rahim and his family.
