Minecraft Education Preview allows you to experience upcoming new features, fresh from the development team at Mojang Studios! 

Please note the following information about Minecraft Education Preview:

- You will not be able to join non-Preview player’s games

- Most settings will not be preserved from the retail version of Minecraft Education

- Any worlds played in Preview will not transfer to the retail version of Minecraft Education

- Lessons from the Library will work in Preview

- Preview builds may be unstable and do not represent final version quality

Minecraft Education licenses can be purchased with Admin access to a Microsoft 365 Admin Center account. Talk to your Tech Lead for information on academic licensing.

Main function

Classroom practice:

Enhanced multi-person online performance, one online teacher can be up to 40 people online at the same time;

Student profile feature, where students can "take selfies" during class and post them on their home page;

According to the information on the community website, the differences between this educational edition and the regular edition in the hands of players are as follows:

In the education version, teachers and students will be marked with coordinates to make it easier to find each other;

Files can be customized and personalized, so that students have a more integrated feeling after logging in the game, and let the teacher have a more intimate feeling;

Map import and export function, students and teachers can save and read the game world in the classroom.

Edutainment:

Examples of teaching on the site include the use of redstone circuits to learn electronic engineering, the study and exploration of ancient architectural relics, pixel art painting, and the physical reproduction of scenes from literature and history.
